Hospice at Home founded Lory's Place to fill an ongoing need in Southwestern Michigan, Northwest Indiana and beyond. We are a "Grief Healing and Education Center for Children and Families."
Current Volunteer Opportunities
As of October 2011, Hospice at Home and Lory's Place could use your help filling the following volunteer positions:
- Respite volunteers to provide relief for caregivers
- Bedside singers perform an array of songs to help ease a patient's pain and suffering
- Facilitator at Lory's Place to assist with peer-to-peer support sessions for children, teens and the adults in their lives
- Beauticians and barbers willing to provide in-home services for patients
- Visitors to listen to patients and caregivers
- Music therapists to provide live and recorded music to enhance the quality of life for patients in palliative and hospice care
