Grief Support

After someone dies, you, or someone you love, may be surprised by how difficult the days, weeks, months and years can be physically, emotionally and spiritually. You can find the support you need for those difficult times by attending individual or group support sessions provided by Hospice at Home's professional bereavement counselors and trained volunteers. There are sessions for all ages as well as various specialized groups.

We also offer classes and workshops that offer activities that help with grief healing. During these sessions you may watch and discuss popular movies that bring up feelings and situations you and your family are facing while grieving. You may do crafts that help memorialize your loved one. Get physical exercise. Or learn how to use different types of writing to help you along your grief journey.

There are also special days to get together with others who have experienced loss to celebrate the lives of your loved ones. Celebration of Life non-denominational services, Mother's Day and Father's Day offer times to share stories and remember the people who live on in your hearts. And for the children and teens who are struggling with grief, we also offer special day camps in the summer that help them realize they are not alone on their journeys.

There is no charge for these bereavement support sessions or activities so look through the offerings each season and encourage those you love to join us. We are ready to help you during these difficult times.
